My first painting happened on a whim in 2023. I picked up the watercolor paints I had on hand and began experimenting during quiet afternoons in my classroom. That first piece stayed taped to the whiteboard throughout the process—a reminder to keep showing up.

Since then, I’ve taken one oil painting course and discovered a love for the texture and freedom of the palette knife. More than anything, this creative journey has revealed something powerful: we often don’t know what hidden talents live inside us—and more often than not, we’re the ones standing in their way.
